Meet the Doctor

Michael E. Hill, DC, MS, CCSP

Michael Hill

Dr. Hill, a Central Oregon native, obtained his undergraduate and graduate degrees at the University of Oregon. While at UofO he competed for the track and field team and was part of three Pac12 titles. His chiropractic medical training was completed at the University of Western States where he graduated with honors. He completed his residency training in sports medicine through the United States Olympic Committee. Dr. Mike has had the opportunity to open a clinic that specializes in sports injuries, spinal trauma, and whiplash related disorders. He brings low force adjusting techniques, myofascial release, and rehabilitative techniques to Oregon Sport & Spine. He has published research in the area of delayed onset muscle soreness, most recently involving the effect of grounding on free radical production.

Being that Oregon Sport & Spine is a center of excellence for sports injuries, and spinal trauma, professional athletes and recreational athletes alike often consult with and receive treatment from Dr. Mike for their ailments to get back on the field or in the gym. He is also well practiced in treating patients with little or no athletic background who live an active lifestyle. Dr. Hill has a special interest in the rehabilitation of CrossFit athletes, Olympics lifters, injured runners, and soccer players and serves as a team physician and performance consultant for the Portland Timbers Olympic Development Program, Lane United Futbol Club, CrossFit Regionals, and US and Canadian Olympic Track and Field athletes.
